Biological inoculants

Kofasil Duo

Improves fermentation and aerobic stability of silages made from grasses, legumes and whole-crop cereals. Combination of homofermentative and heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria. Two strains of homofermentative lactic acid bacteria with high osmotolerance cause a rapid and significant drop in pH by intensive production of lactic acid, thereby inhibiting undesired spoilage bacteria (e.g. clostridia, enterobacteria). Reheating after opening the silos may result in large nutrient losses, reduced feed intake as well as a performance depression. Increasing storage stability by heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria improves silage palatability and intake. The product is-ready-to-use after suspension in tap water.

Kofasil Life

Improves fermentation quality of silages made from grasses and legumes with dry matter 28-40 %. Contains homofermentative highly active and competitive lactic acid bacteria with high osmotolerance (works also in silages with high dry matter). Prevents growth of acid-sensitive microorganisms that are harmful to fermentation (e.g. clostridia and enterobacteria). Improves silage palatability and intake. A biological silage additive for self-cultivation: ultra-fast acidification, metabolic activity immediately after adding to silage crop.

Kofasil Life M and Kofasil S

Improves aerobic stability of silages from forage maize and whole-crop cereals. Heterofermentative lactic acid bacteria not only form lactic acid but also improve the storage life of silage kept in non-airtight conditions after opening the silos. Prevents mould growth and production of mycotoxins, avoids feed and energy losses, improves taste and nutrient intake, optimises biogas yield. Kofasil Life M is an additive for self-cultivation: ultra-fast acidification, activity immediately after adding to silage crop. Kofasil S is-ready-to-use after suspension in tap water.

Kofasil Liquid

Improves fermentation quality for protein-rich forage crops that are hard or moderately hard to ferment in difficult ensiling conditions. Controls the natural fermentation process by selectively suppressing clostridia, listeria and other organisms harmful to fermentation. Butyric fermentation and protein breakdown are avoided. Nutrient breakdown is minimised. Non-corrosive, pH value 8 – 9

Kofasil Stabil

improves aerobic stability of silages from forage maize, heavily wilted grass, wholecrop cereals as well as from by-products (sugar beet pulp, brewer´s grain). The strong inhibitory effect on spoilage micro-organisms (yeasts and moulds). Protects silages from heating and mycotoxin formation upon exposure to air, thereby minimizing nutrient and energy losses during feed out. Non-corrosive, pH value 8 – 9.5

Kofa Grain pH5

Preservative for aerobically stored (without plastic cover) or anaerobically stored (tubes, silos) high-moisture grain. Long-lasting strong inhibitory effect on yeasts and moulds. Equally effective as pure acid blends, but has markedly improved handling properties for user and equipment. pH value 5.
